Background
GOBLIN is an enhanced business intelligence system that was was born when a group of executives couldn’t find a platform that met all their data, security, and reporting needs. The data warehousing piece of the system focuses on providing quick and easy access to data via its cloud-based software that easily integrates within existing business systems. GOBLIN’s core advantage is its ability for authorized personnel to access and share secure data.
My role as the UX/UI designer was to develop interface for the data warehousing portion of the application.
System Requirements:
In close collaboration with the CTO, I worked to develop the core set of system requirements for the data warehousing product. The system’s primary function was to provide a secure environment for report sharing among clients.
Secure Log-In
The site requires a secure-login framework to ensure security compliance.
Report Selection
The client page is branded for each client with a searchable table that provides a list of reports they have stored in the system.
Report Details & Download
The report page provides an overview of the selected report with a searchable table to identify and download any and all versions of the report.
Support
A support page allows customers to request technical support or help with any issues they may encounter.
Use Case 1
Admin-Sorting View
Some clients needed to be able to select from a list of clients under their portfolio to access the chosen client’s specific reports.
Use Case 2
Single-Client View
Some clients would just have access to only their reports and would land directly on their report page after log-in.
Design & Implementation
I developed high-fidelity mock-ups and continued to iterate on the concepts until all requirements were adequately addressed. The designs received great feedback from the client and were handed off to the development team for implementation and testing.
